In May 2005 I was extremely grateful to the people of Northfield for again electing me as their MP. I have worked hard on their behalf since 1992, but to build the future this area deserves, there remains a great deal to do for everyone who serves or represents the area as an elected representative, as an official of the Council or other agencies, from the business community or from the voluntary sector. As your MP, I aim to play my part.
Please see the 'contact me' heading for how to get in touch.
I have lived in Birmingham for nearly 25 years and have represented Birmingham Northfield in Parliament since 1992. I am part of this community. So what happens here affects me as a local resident, not simply as your MP.
I am independent and hard working, and have fought hard for the issues that matter to you over the last 13 years; I am still fighting hard for you today. For investment in schools, hospitals and police and for a better future for our community.
This is my old website. Please go to www.richardburden.com for more information.
